On Monday morning, I flew to Utah and met up with my mom who has been doing a practicum for her Master’s in the Church History Library. We had lunch, and I got to explore the building where she works. On the first floor is a huge reading room with magazines and books published by the church, books and manuals by several other religions about the scriptures and Jesus Christ, and so many other gems! One of my mom’s friends helped to find this:
Isn’t it crazy that one day I’ll be able to read this? While my mom and her friend talked, I explored the stacks a little and found a whole missionary shelf. There were some fun books about how to prepare and serve a mission, even a cute one about sister missionaries. As I read the titles, I stumbled upon this:
I, unfortunately, did not have time to do anything but skim the many pages. Of course, today I’ll begin my very own missionary journal! This afternoon, I enter the MTC and officially begin my mission. It’ll be hard, but eternally rewarding.
I am SO EXCITED!
Before I go zip up my three suitcases (packing for 18 months…wow), I just want to thank everyone who has supported me in my life and on this endeavor from my parents, family, friends, to my teachers. I feel your love and your prayers and am thankful for every one of you.
