Yesterday, my wonderful, amazing Chungjang Ward threw me a party after church. But before I get to that, each Sunday morning for the past ten months I have stood by the front doors of the same church building welcoming the people that I love. Yesterday, even though it was my last Sunday in Korea and in Chungjang, it didn’t feel different. (more…)

Delicious Story Together Joy (Korean restaurant name)
January 6, 2014 by Sister Roueche
These past few weeks I’ve gone on lots of splits with different sisters in our zone to help them with this and that. A split usually lasts around 24 hours and during that time, I either go and work with a sister in her area, or she comes to my area and we work together while our companions are off doing missionary work in the other place. (more…)

December 23, 2013 by Sister Roueche
On Friday, all the missionaries (all 156 of them!) from our mission gathered in Daejeon for the Mission Christmas Party! Just like last year, we started off with a white elephant exchange. And just like last year, I picked a great present, and just like last year it was stolen away from me. (more…)

All the little things
December 16, 2013 by Sister Roueche
This week was filled with so many great small things that I can’t think of where to start! Lately, I’ve been wondering if when my mission is over if I’ll keep talking about miracles all the time and noticing all the small inexplicable instances that happen, or if I’ll just jump back into the storm of life and leave that behind. Like this week, (more…)

The Final Stretch
December 9, 2013 by Sister Roueche

We offered to help because a) that’s too much work for just one person b) we knew we’d get to teach her afterwards and c) my companion has never made kimchi. Remember, she’s Korean! (more…)

A Little Heaven on Earth
December 2, 2013 by Sister Roueche
Last weekend we saw a great miracle in Chungjeong ward. A little background for you to start. About a year and a half ago, Sister Cho was baptized. She met the missionaries and fell in love with the gospel. But, her parents were against it. (more…)

Eat the Bae (Pronounced “bay”)
November 11, 2013 by Sister Roueche
On Tuesday, I was on splits with Sister Brooksby, my MTC companion! We stopped by a member’s house on the way to another appointment, and I didn’t really have a message planned, but I felt like visiting them would be of great worth for Sister Brooksby and the family. (more…)
